Another stab at the Rebirth design for SUPERMAN. I kept seeing my last attempt around the internet and wasn’t satisfied with how it came out. This design kind of demands the heavier shadow, which I’ve been meaning to experiment more with anyway.
Looks great. But in my opinion, Superman doesn’t really work with heavy shadows. It’s funny that Shaner pointed it out; how this design kinda demands it. It just shows that the current costume is still a miss, largely thanks to Man of Steel and BvS. Think about it: EVERY evil iteration of the character wears a dark version of the costume. So why does current Supes wears an evil looking costume? I’m sure there’s a way to ditch the underpants without ditching the bright colors.
